Overview

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner (Remote) to join our growing team with MIP!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Summary

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner (TPO) to help drive the integration/interoperability solutions. As the TPO , you will review, analyze, and evaluate requirements related to data integration and interoperability between Community Brands applications , MIP Fund Accounting , and external third-party application s. Understanding API architecture in an interoperable data flow is a critical skill expected. Candidates must have the ability to gather and document requirements, data map between integrated applications , and facilitate review and approval. Candidates must provide user story documentation and acceptance criteria to ensure the achievement of scope, objectives , and requirements. The TPO will conduct customer discovery sessions , translat e requirements to the R&D team and enable user acceptance testing . This role requires strong qualitative skills, strategic thinking, sound business judgement, along with the ability to think creatively , work independently and collaboratively with internal and external teams .

A Day in the Life
  • Create documentation including requirements, data mappings, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and flow charts.
  • Interface with stakeholders to define and document requirements for integration solutions, often in the form of user stories.
  • Maintain working knowledge of integration needs to m anag e the product backlog, working with R&D team s to prioritize requirements and clearly define deliverables.
  • Assist the QA team to ensure understanding of requirements and review test plans to ensure appropriate test coverage.
  • Work with customers , third-party software vendors and technical partners to plan and execute User Acceptance Testing.
  • P rioritize business goals and project s , ensuring that issues are escalate d promptly and appropriately.
  • Provide training and demos on product functionality during the product implementation lifecycle.
  • Drive integration adoption among partners, third-party software vendor s, and customers .
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to report on appropriate metrics
    and share progress on initiatives.
  • P articipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-up s , backlog grooming , sprint retrospectives, release planning , and Program Increment ( PI ) planning.
  • Field questions and p rovide ongoing support to customers , partners , and stakeholders .
  • Conduct product discovery sessions and beta program s to gather feedback , requirements , and validate that features meet expectations .

We are looking for someone who brings
  • Must have strong written and spoken communication skills with the ability to present to internal and external audiences .
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work both individually and as a member of a team are necessary.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Office 365 - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Experience working with Agile development processes and the team collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence and/or Azure Dev Ops.
  • Familiarity with APIs, JSON.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in good decision-making and prioritization.
  • Must have a growth mindset and subscribe to a continuous learning philosophy.
  • Must have solid knowledge about API design standards, patterns, and practices.
  • Must have experience translating conceptual system requirements into technical requirements.
  • Must be able to translate accounting and software terms into technical information consumable by customers and partners .
  • E xperience using an API management platform is preferable.

Education and Experience:
  • 3+ years of p rofessional experience in P roduct M anagement , Business Analysis or API integration s is required .
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science or Business field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with agile product deployment and software development methodologies.
  • Experience working within scaled agile ( SAFe ) methodology is a plus.
