Job Responsibilities:
As a Construction Project Manager, your role is to oversee the entire lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring their successful completion within budget, timeline, and quality parameters. Problem-solving and risk management will be crucial aspects of your role. You will identify potential issues, develop contingency plans, and resolve conflicts that may arise during construction. Your attention to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to make informed decisions will contribute to the overall success of each project. Ultimately, as a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating construction projects, balancing multiple variables, and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of high-quality projects while exceeding client expectations. Individual responsibilities include:
- Manage multiple projects from Award to Completion
- Oversee complete project design with design team
- Act as primary point of contact for the client
- Direct technical, contractual and administrative performance of the contracts
- Prepare budget and estimates, with the estimator
- Supervise field staff to meet daily schedules and budget
- Coordinate daily site-specific work efforts
- Maintain consistency of technical approach
- Ensure conformance with regulatory requirements
- Initiate, reviews and supervises subcontractor performance
- Identify change orders as required
- Ensure adherence to health and safety compliance
- Prepare monthly updated reports on budget, schedule and change orders
- Work effectively with Client, Subcontractors, Superintendent, Estimator, Project Coordinator, Field Staff and Regulatory Agencies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree, required, focused in construction management, building construction, engineering, construction science or architecture highly preferred
- 5 or more years of experience as Project Manager in construction industry required, with additional experience as Superintendent or QC Manager preferred
- Federal experience, required
- Must have strong computer skills with focus on Microsoft Office package, Primavera P6 and Project Scheduling
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication a must for this position
- Possess and understands Leebcor’s core values, goals, and vision
- Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
- Possess effective communication and organizational skills.
- Must have strong time management and leadership skills to supervise project staff
- Ability to multi task and handle multiple projects at one time
- Ability to work and collaborate with all levels of the company, clients and subcontractors
- Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Able to anticipate issues, reactions, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to travel to oversee multiple project sites
- Ability to work a varied schedule based on project/company needs
- Ability to gain access to military job sites
- Ability to lift, push and pull 50lbs
