Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of litigation experience in family and divorce law. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, experience handling contested high-net worth divorce cases and family law matters, and a client-centered approach to representation. We are looking for an attorney who is passionate about litigation but also has strong skills in negotiating amicable resolutions for clients' matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a caseload of divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution matters.
- Conduct client consultations, legal research, and case strategy development.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and pre/post-nuptial agreements.
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and mediation sessions.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively in contested matters.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to ensure successful case outcomes.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed and engaged throughout their case.
Qualifications:
- 3-6 years of experience litigating family and matrimonial law matters in NYC.
- Strong litigation and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Excellent writing, negotiation, and case management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Compassionate and client-focused approach to family law matters.
Benefits & Perks:
- Competitive salary - $120,000 - $165,000 (commensurate with experience).
