Description

Inova Health is seeking a dedicated Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Ambulatory Behavioral Health to join the outpatient Clinical Pharmacy team. This role will be full-time Monday – Friday, day shift. Sign-on Bonus & relocation assistance eligible. Preferred Qualifications: PGY2 in Psychiatry or Ambulatory Care with BCPP eligibility or active certification. The Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Ambulatory Behavioral Health will be integrated into the Outpatient Behavioral Health team and oversee patients referred for psychiatric medication management, including but not limited to antidepressants, mood stabilizers such as lithium/valproate, antipsychotics (including long-acting injectables and clozapine), and intranasal ketamine. Additionally, the individual participates in the medication formulary review and approval process. There will be opportunities for education (lecturing and precepting students and PGY-1/PGY-2 residents) and committee involvement on a local, system, and national level. 

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: PGY2 in Psychiatry or Ambulatory Care with BCPP eligibility or active certification

Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy.
Experience: Five (5) years as a clinical Pharmacist. 
Licensure: Licensed Pharmacist in the state of VA.  
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) for Critical Care and Emergency Medicine, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
