Title: Social Media Intern
Reports To: Director of Marketing
Status: Part-time, Non-exempt, Temporary (Semester or Academic Year)
Salary: $20 per hour
Location: Phoenix Office
Position Summary
The Social Media Intern will support ACF’s Marketing Team by helping to create, curate, and publish digital content that elevates ACF’s brand, programs, philanthropic initiatives, and community impact. This role is ideal for a creative, detailoriented student who is passionate about storytelling, nonprofit work, and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, writing, and scheduling content for ACF’s social media channels.
- Support the team in creating visual content including graphics, short videos, reels, and stories.
- Monitor social media channels for engagement opportunities.
- Support analytics tracking, reporting, and insights.
- Help maintain a content calendar aligned with organizational campaigns.
- Research social media trends and nonprofit digital best practices within and outside of the community foundation sector.
- Assist with event planning and for ACF hosted event, including Giving Circles.
- Understand and maintain consistency with ACF’s voice and brand standards.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Current student pursuing a relevant degree.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Familiarity with major social platforms and trends.
- Experience with creative platforms such as Canva, Adobe, InDesign, or similar.
- Highly organized and proactive.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Works well independently and in teams.
- Excellent communication skills—written and verbal.
- Embodies ACF’s core values in working with internal and external stakeholders and has a passion for community service and impact.
